You either love Zac Efron or hate him, but he’s growing more into a man than the little teenager he was, and it shows. His body is really filling out and he’s actually turning into a rather good actor.
It looks like he will have a busy year this year filming for a number of movies, and they all have interesting casts, and the ones with directors announced should by first look be great films to watch.
Actor Zac Efron has accepted the title role in the upcoming movie The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. Currently without a director, the picture just loss Dante Ariola, and it’s formerly cast Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, but is now looking at it’s newest star, the former High Musical actor to fill the title role.
Now that Efron has signed on the dotted line he will play the role of Charlie, a character who travels to Europe after the painful loss of his mother, only to fall in love with a girl who is under the control of some severely dangerous thugs. In an attempt to hold on to what he loves Charlie Countryman will endure whatever it takes to win. This should prove to be a good role for the High Musical star who seems to be attempting to shed that Disney persona to take on more adult movie roles in the industry. The script was written by writer Matt Drake who has worked on Spin City and Tully.
Efron also just recently joined the sequel to Valentines Day entitled New years Eve. The actor is also on board the movie The Lucky One. Previously, the former beau of Vanessa Hudgens, who just made a stop in at NYN Fashion Week, has appeared in Charlie St. Cloud and 17 Again.
