Adam Gregory (né Salling) was born December 28, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and grew up with his parents and brother Scott. The Ohio native attended Springmeyer Elementary School, Bridgetown Middle School and Oak Hills High School where he had plenty of High School Musical experience for example Les Miserables, Honk! and Pirates of Penzance.
Oak Hills drama teacher Skip Badonsky says Gregory "had a great career" as an Oak Hills actor. "He has a great sense of humor, and was very strong in his dramatic roles." When Gregory played Marius in Les Miserables, vocal teacher June Hill said "he looked like a movie star. He's extremely handsome. He's very talented and works very hard." As he dropped out of Northern Kentucky University after a semester to try to make it in show business, he signed with Kat McEntee's Katalyst agency in Covington, where he was seen by Hollywood talent manger Lori Noekler Knight who persuaded him to come to California in January 2007.
He took jobs at Abercrombie & Fitch and the YMCA. With Lori's guidance, he quickly signed with Wendi Green at Abrams Artist Agency, Ford Models and began studies with Master Coach, John Kirby.
Before he got the role of rich boy Ty Collins on CW's hit series 90210, where Gregory was asked to audition by casting directors who had seen him earlier this year for the role of Ethan, another student, Adam booked supporting roles on Disney/Nickelodeon TV Series like Wizards of Waverly Place and Just Jordan.
