Penn Badgley (born 1 November 1986 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actor and voice actor of film, television, and video games, best known for his roles in the TV series The Mountain and The Bedford Diaries. He also plays Dan Humphrey in the television series Gossip Girl.
Badgley has one older half-sister and currently lives in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he loves to surf, go skiing and snowboarding. He enjoys singing, writing, and playing guitar.
Badgley's first credit was voice work for the video game Mario Golf 64 in 1999. He followed this in 2000 with voice work on Mario Tennis 64. His first screen acting credit was on an episode of Will & Grace. He followed this up with appearances on shows such as Daddio, The Brothers Garcia and What I Like About You, among others. He also starred in the short lived sitcom Do Over where he played Tom Everett Scott's character's 14 year old self. He was also in John Tucker Must Die playing Scott Tucker (the other Tucker).
Penn has known Gossip Girl co-star, Blake Lively since the age of 11, as stated on an interview with Tyra Banks

buen actor, me gusto siempre desd q lo vi en su serie "the mountain"...hace un buen trabajo... se desemvuelbe bien en cualquier genero... es todo un cueroo..:P
Trop charmant!! En fait, je l'adore (surtout le personnage qui joue) dans gossip-girl. Cette série n'est pas sortie encore en France mais je prèfère la voir en VO sur internet, cela gacherait tout le plaisir d'entendre sa belle voix ...
