James Sutton has revealed a few titbits about his new Emmerdale character, saying he's "quite blokey".
The actor is best known for playing gay John Paul McQueen in Hollyoaks but is gearing up for his debut as unemployed mechanic Ryan Lamb, Faye Lamb's son, in Emmerdale.
James said: "He's a bit of a lad's lad, he's quite blokey, he likes a pint and he's a mechanic, an out of work mechanic - he's lost his job so he moves up to sponge off his mum for a bit."
He went on: "He doesn't have a dad - or doesn't think he has a dad. So that's all kind of being explored."
Given his mother Faye's history with Mark, could the married millionaire turn out to be Ryan's missing dad?
"Well, that seems to be the way the storyline is going," revealed James. "I know there's been a lot of speculation so you'll just have to wait and see, really."
