IT’S cheese on toast with extra cheese on top, but I rather like the high energy song and dance routines of Britannia High.
What irritates me is that it treats its young audience as if they’re as stupid as the characters. It was obvious from the start that Danny (pretty boy Mitch Hewer) couldn’t read, but the storyline was so drawn-out as we laboured towards the surprise revelation.
This ITV1 series also encourages the X Factor generation of kids who think they don’t have to work for a living. It makes Hollyoaks, which at least features a plumber, look gritty.
